Jake Warm
President
Jake proudly represents the fourth generation in a family whose heritage and tradition in the construction, development and ownership of commercial real estate has flourished since its beginnings in 1903. From an early age, Jake took an interest in his father’s work. Jake spent considerable time learning construction from a hands-on perspective, working in the field on various construction projects. Beyond construction, Jake has established a solid understanding of the principles associated with successful commercial real estate development, with a unique ability to find solutions for challenging situations. Jake’s recent industrial build-to-suit leaseback to Sherwin Williams, and Mabley Place (a CBD parking garage conversion), are two highlight development projects led by Jake.
Jake is responsible for the oversight of a large portfolio of commercial real estate, as well as leadership over all operations of the 112 year old company. Jake is not only a leader of his own team of professionals, Jake is very active as a leader in the community, with participation in numerous organizations and foundations. In 2013, Jake was a Venue Magazine “40 Under 40” winner. Jake was awarded the NAIOP Developing Leader of the Year in 2014, recognizing his leadership abilities. Jake believes strongly in growing and maintaining business and personal relationships by staying actively involved and engaged with clients.
Steve Fahrnbach
Vice President / Principal Broker
Steve has over 20 years of experience in commercial real estate. Steve started his career as Director of Sales & Marketing for Warm Bros. Construction Company. During this time, Steve gained considerable experience in the design-build construction, site selection and commercial real estate development. In addition, Steve became responsible for the management and leasing of a sizeable portfolio of industrial properties. Steve later joined a sister company, Belvedere Corporation, and as Vice President, expanded his role to include the oversight and leasing of a much larger portfolio of commercial real estate, which included central business district office towers, suburban office parks, medical and retail developments. In 2009, Steve partnered with a colleague to form Reliant Realty Group, LLC, teaming with a large international brokerage network as a Coldwell Banker Commercial Affiliate. While at Reliant, Steve continued to service the Belvedere portfolio, while providing property management and brokerage to other third parties. In 2011, Steve was awarded Global Mentor of the Year by the Coldwell Banker Commercial organization. Steve applied his knowledge of commercial real estate to assist several local and national financial institutions in the management, leasing and disposition of commercial assets, including receivership responsibilities.
With his experience in development, construction, management and brokerage, Steve truly has an understanding of commercial real estate, literally from the ground up. As Vice President and Principal Broker at Warm Realty + Development, Steve will utilize his expertise to identify new opportunities in commercial real estate, and will secure results to meet or exceed the expectations of each and every client he serves.
Brandon Smith
Director of Real Estate Development
Brandon is a Detroit Native who brings over 10 years of experience in the development, finance and investment of commercial real estate to the Warm Realty + Development team. Brandon joined JDL Warm Construction LLC two years ago as Director of Real Estate Development. With a background in the development of a variety of retail, mixed use and residential projects, Brandon has gained a particular expertise in identifying and implementing creative solutions for the successful development of new-build commercial projects, as well as the renovation and re-purpose of existing historic properties. Brandon has a solid understanding of various development incentives and tax credit programs, in addition to the LEED certification process and the potential long-term benefits for such projects.
As Director of Real Estate Development of Warm Realty + Development, Brandon will utilize his experience and expertise to identify and analyze new commercial development opportunities that fit within the company’s core strengths.
